Horizon was built on a foundation of “go out and do.” As in go out and tend to a garden. Go out and find your way on a trail. Go out and get a whole lot of fun, done. We have ways to do it all, already in place. (And more are in the works.)

The Great Park

It’s the go-to gathering hub of Horizon. Where an open lawn provides ample room to play ball, have a picnic or participate in community events. The tennis courts serve up active fun. And kids and dogs alike each have their own playground. There’s even a community garden for those who want to spend time with their hands in some soil.

As Horizon continues to grow, so will the outdoor spaces. We have plans in place to expand our central park with more lawn. More places to play. (And more big ideas that we’re still working on.)

TAKE TO THE TRAILS

When you live at Horizon, you have the adventurous pleasure of having regional trails nearby. In fact, Aurora has 8,000 acres of open space and 119 miles of trails. Should you feel like hopping on one, the High Plains Trail is super close to our community, and connects to the Triple Creek Trail and High Line Canal. (Bonus: it’s bike- and dog-friendly, too.)

Built-in community

We take having fun as a community seriously. So much so that we have a whole team dedicated to it. They’re busy, planning all the things that bring neighbors together, from movie nights to our annual Parkapalooza and more. Consider your social calendar full.

                        We have big plans for our community. Like the “uptown” of Horizon Uptown — a true town center with dining, retail, entertainment options and more. While the specific “what” is still in the works, one thing is a given: it’s going to be a vibrant destination for residents of Horizon (and beyond).
